What You'll Achieve.
Contributes to the development of construction‑level design deliverables that meet project, quality, and safety requirements

S. Citizenship required (no dual citizenship), Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, Ability to pass pre-employment background investigation and drug screening, Willingness to work overtime or outside normal hours as needed, Professional appearance appropriate for a customer‑facing engine, Frequent presence in construction and operational areas, Exposure to elevated noise levels, hazardous materials, and other site‑specific hazards
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School Diploma or GED, 0 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design for industrial or government facilities, Experience with HVAC, piping, and plumbing layout design, Working knowledge of 3D design software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation, Ability to learn new software tools, workflows, and design standards, attention to detail, willingness to accept technical guidance and feedback, Effective communication skills, ability to work in a team‑based environment, U. S. Citizenship required, Valid driver's license, Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, Ability to pass pre-employment background investigation and drug screening, Willingness to work overtime or outside normal hours as needed
Nice to Have
Associate Degree in Drafting, Design, or Engineering Technology, Prior nuclear, DOE, or high‑hazard facility design experience, Experience working under a formal quality program (ISO 9001, NQA 1), Experience supporting multidisciplinary design teams, Demonstrated interest in professional growth and technical development
What You'll Do.
Develop 2D drawings for HVAC equipment
Prepare design deliverables
Incorporate engineer and senior designer markups and redlines
Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers and other disciplines
Ensure proper integration of mechanical designs
Apply established design standards
and quality requirements
Perform self‑checks and support revisions to drawings
Participate in field walkdowns or site coordination activities
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Working under the supervision of Senior Designers and Mechanical Engineers; Work in a team‑based environment; Coordinate designs with mechanical engineers and other disciplines; Experience supporting multidisciplinary design teams
