Full Job Description

## Responsibilities - Support the design of mechanical products, including system layout, packaging, and overall product configuration. · Create and maintain 3D CAD models, part and assembly drawings, bills of materials, and design documentation for components and subsystems. · Support prototype builds, review first articles, and incorporate feedback into design updates. · Assist with verification testing by preparing test hardware, documenting results, and updating designs as needed. · Provide technical documentation and design support for component sourcing and supplier coordination. · Maintain product lifecycle data, including drawings, bills of materials, specifications, and revision-controlled design records. ## Qualifications - Diploma, degree, or equivalent training in mechanical design, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field. · Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, Onshape, or a similar CAD system, including sheet metal design, electrical harness routing, and management of large assemblies. · Strong understanding of design for manufacturing, tolerance stack-up, GD&T, and practical mechanical design principles. · Ability to interpret and work from engineering calculations, test results, and design requirements to support detailed mechanical design. - 5+ years of experience creating designs for fabricated components and assemblies using a range of manufacturing processes, including welding, forming, molding, and related techniques. · Safety-focused, with an understanding of applicable regulatory and product design requirements. ## Nice to Have · Experience with DFMEA and fault tree analysis (FTA). · Experience designing fuel cells, flow batteries, or other electrochemical systems. · Experience supporting supplier coordination and contract manufacturing activities. · Experience with injection molding, rotomolding, and thermoforming.
