## Description Mechanical Design Engineer – Power Systems Location: Marietta, OH Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire Compensation: Starting at $60,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications. Position Overview We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and customization of electrical power distribution and protection equipment. This role is responsible for mechanical design activities from concept through production, including prototype development, design validation, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex design challenges, improving existing products, and working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams to deliver high-quality solutions. ## Key Responsibilities Create and maintain mechanical designs, engineering documentation, and product specifications for power distribution and protection equipment. Develop innovative design solutions that meet project objectives, customer requirements, and industry standards. Participate in formal design reviews, provide technical feedback, and implement design improvements. Design, release, and evaluate prototypes while supporting fabrication and testing activities. Drive continuous improvement efforts based on prototype and production feedback. Independently manage smaller engineering projects, coordinating design activities and deliverables. Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and service teams to ensure products meet operational and customer needs. Support product customization initiatives, engineering change orders (ECO/ECN), lifecycle management, and product optimization projects. Ensure design documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with company processes. ## Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
