Mechanical Component Failure Analyst **Company:** The Boeing Company **Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA**) is hiring an**Experienced Mechanical Component Failure Analyst**(Level 3) to join our **Equipment Quality team** in**Seattle, WA**. **Position Responsibilities:** * Perform failure analyses of airplane hydraulic and/or mechanical components to determine the cause of failure * Emphasis on bench testing skills, component disassembly, technical evaluation, precision measurement, analytical reasoning and report writing * Maintain a working knowledge of airplane components, related systems and supporting technical documentation * Develop test methods to replicate failure modes * Lead analysis teams comprised of Suppliers, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, airline representatives and government representatives * Prepare formal technical reports of investigation results for internal and/or external customers to include government agencies **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** * 1+ years of experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and failure analysis * 3+ years of experience testing hydraulic and/or mechanical control systems * 1+ years of experience writing technical reports * 1+ years of experience leading multiple projects at the same time * Must be able to travel 10% of the time **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** * 1+ years of experience precision measurement equipment & GD&T * 1+ years of experience working with customers in production, engineering departments, airline industry or governmental agencies * 1+ years of presentation experience **Conflict of Interest:** Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process **Drug Free Workplace:** Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. **Pay &
