**Ready to be part of something special?** **Join our Family!** B&G Foods is seeking an experienced mechanic for its Packing Department in the Cincinnati Crisco Oils & Shortening manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the reliability of their team by operating, maintaining and repairing all plant equipment and facilities in a way that achieves high customer satisfaction. All work must be performed in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. TITLE Plant Mechanic – Cincinnati REPORTS TO Area Leader KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform maintenance activities in a high-performance working environment on a shiftly basis to ensure optimum utilization of materials and manpower to maximize production, safety, quality and efficiency • Generate and complete work orders to ensure materials are available from the parts room. Initiate work requests when work cannot be performed immediately • Communicate and work with other operators, line leaders and the technical leader on maintenance issues • Perform preventative maintenance and inspection functions and take the initiative to ensure these programs are modified and updated as needed • Participate in training to improve and maintain technical skills, teamwork, creativity and communication skills • Participate in root cause failure analysis with team members and maintenance leaders for major downtime • Actively participate in team and plant meetings and activities • Follow all safety, housekeeping and regulatory agency requirements • Accurately troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, coach and teach, and repair to original specifications of processing, packaging, and facility equipment • Read and understand technical documentation including electrical and mechanical drawings • Safely operate maintenance shop tools • Ability to test mechanical equipment • All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS • High School Diploma plus two years of technical training preferred • 2-5 years maintenance expe
