**Title:** MCPP: Electrical Equipment Repair Technician **Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR!** **Program Summary** The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces. **Job Summary** Performs duties involving the assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, testing, repair, modification, and general maintenance of electrical equipment or components which have typically been removed from ships, ground support equipment, and tracked or wheeled heavy-duty vehicles. **Must be able to lift 50 pounds.** **Performs operator, intermediate and limited major rebuild levels of maintenance which includes spot painting.** Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower-level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics. Performs other tasks as assigned. **Basic Qualifications** * Associate of Arts (AA) degree requiring a minimum of **500 hours of instruction or equivalent** , which may be obtained through a combination of **on-the-job training and/or formal technical schooling** * **Five (5) years of directly related work experience** * Completion of the **Basic Electrical Equipment Repairman Course** , or equivalent * Completion of the **Advanced Military Maintenance School** , or equivalent * Ability to **lift up to 50 pounds** * In-depth knowledge of **electrical circuitry, electrical principles, and formulas** , with practical application to repaired equipment and systems * Knowledge of **electronic circuitry and theory** , along with general **mechanical skills and knowledge** * Ability to apply knowledge of **wire color codes, symbols, layout sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical orders, and manufacturer specifications** * Must possess a **valid Sta
