Must Have
High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or candidate must have at least 10 years of experience and continuing education, or an associate’s degree or equivalent and at least 6 years of experience that proves mechanical aptitude and ability to work effectively without direct supervision, Hands-on laboratory or technical mechanical experience, Ability to follow detailed procedures, safety protocols, and engineering instructions, Experience with measurement tools, test equipment, and general lab practices, Familiarity with non-metallic materials (polymers, composites, adhesives, elastomers) or willingness to learn, Basic computer skills and comfort with data collection systems, Must be a US Citizen and have a STAR ID, Ability to communicate effectively and work under supervision is essential
Nice to Have
Polymer or elastomer casting, molding, or processing experience, Previous experience operating or assembling test fixtures, small-scale hardware, or propulsion-related equipment, LabVIEW proficiency for data acquisition or automation, Robotic equipment programming or operation experience (e.g., robotic arms, automated test equipment), Experience in a materials lab environment focused on non-metallics or environmental effects testing
What You'll Do.

Participate in continuous improvement of lab workflows and test processes

Maintain laboratory equipment

Assist engineers and scientists with experimental design
and prototype fabrication
