What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor of Science in Material Science, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering or relevant field from ABET accredited school, 5+ years experience with materials and processes used in the aerospace, other relevant industry, Experience with design for manufacturing and engineering drawing review, Solid interpersonal and communication skills, Ability to learn, grow and tackle new challenges in a fast-paced environment, Excellent attention to detail and task ownership, Willingness to perform low-level tasks when needed, Ability to work harmoniously with cross-functional teams across large geographic distances

Nice to Have

Experience with polymer materials – determining properties and relevant testing, Experience with aircraft, launch vehicle, spacecraft, or satellite development, Experience with materials in extreme environments (i. e. , cryogenic temperatures, pure oxygen), Experience with a variety of metallic and nonmetallic material manufacturing technologies, Experience with evaluating low cycle and high cycle fatigue performance of materials, Experience working with product lifecycle management (PLM) software, including release and approval processes
