Must Have

Post secondary education in materials management or equivalent experience, Excellent knowledge of Customer shipping requirements, inventory controls, production scheduling, engineering systems/procedures and plant raw materials, etc. in a manufacturing environment, A demonstrated understanding of inventory management principles and practices, superior analytical, planning, and problem solving skills, Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft and other manufacturing related software, Good attention to detail, above average problem solving ability to meet multiple demands, deadlines and support production planning programs

What You'll Do.

Planning inbound raw material to support production schedules

Analyze incoming releases from customer

utilize internal ERP/MRP system to generate releases

manually edit releases as required

Send daily releases to the supply base

ensure transportation for each shipment is scheduled

proper scheduling and releasing of materials

Ensure Supplier ships as required

enforce chargeback policy

ensure proper packaging

manage inventory levels

Oversee production schedules

ensure daily manufacturing schedules are attained

Ensures that all returnable containers are scheduled to be returned

Responsible for Engineering Changes for parts

Ensure zero to minimal obsolences

New incoming material is labelled correctly

support plant during production hours

Monitors supplier delivery performance

Perform special projects

Supports engineering change control

ECN tasks associated with engineering changes

Other projects and duties as assigned

Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed

Ensure adherence to established quality and housekeeping standards

Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention

Taking appropriate corrective action when substandard performance is observed

Our award-winning seating solutions are developed from consumer research, finding the ease of operation to be comfortable, convenient and connected. **Job Responsibilities:** ### JOB DUTIES: Responsible for planning inbound raw material to support production schedules as received by the customer via EDI Releases (830/862). Analyze incoming releases from customer and utilize internal ERP/MRP system to generate releases for the Tier 2 supply base, and from time to time manually edit releases as required. Send daily releases to the supply base after running MRP, and ensure transportation for each shipment is scheduled with Logistics Provider. Ensure that all materials departmental objectives and activities are aligned to the Magna Employee Charter and Magna Corporate Constitution. Responsible for the proper scheduling and releasing of materials at SHSS. Ensure Supplier ships as required to Spring Hill Supplier Material Standards. Responsible to enforce chargeback policy.
