Must Have
Associate's degree and one year general office experience, High school diploma or GED plus three years general office experience, Three years warehouse experience, Valid Certificate of Medical Examination (Medical Card), Pass a Drug and Alcohol Background check, Valid Alaska driver's license, Lift 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, Maneuver 2,500-pound pallets using a manual pallet jack, Keyboarding test at 30 WPM
Nice to Have
Forklift training and certification, IATA and CFR part 49 Hazardous Materials certification
What You'll Do.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
Reproduce copies of printed materials
Process repair and out of box failures
manage inventory levels
Issue items to customers
Receive materials delivered from carriers and vendors
Check delivered material for overages
Receive material into the computerized inventory system
Package and ship materials to vendors and other
Ensure shipments comply with Hazmat laws
or other areas with materials
Issue or transfer materials using a computerized inventory
Charge materials to the correct department
Make deliveries or pick-up materials from job sites
Notify Supervisor of incorrect
Make inventory adjustments as instructed
Operate material-handling equipment
Operate and perform minor maintenance on hand tools
Sort and identify surplus or returned material to
Train others in the MMS classification
and classify materials for surplus
Ship consignment materials to vendors
Process adjustment transactions related to surplus inventory
Assign daily work duties of the MMS II
Coordinate activity between warehouses
Prioritize and organize work
Ensure workgroup production meets standards
Purchase miscellaneous equipment
Conduct yearly physical inventory counts
Prepare inventory report(s)
Resolve inventory variances
Travel to other warehouses for vacation coverage and
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualified applicants who do not yet meet all MMS II requirements are encouraged to apply and may be considered for on‑the‑job training._ # **POSITION SUMMARY** Materials Management Specialists (MMS’s) primary duties are to handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, reproduce copies of printed materials, process repair and out of box failures, receive, stock, manage inventory levels, and issue items to customers.
