Full Job Description

****Job Description:**** This position is part of the Sustainability Business Unit of Airbus Protect which aims to empower ​ businesses to build a sustainable future. ****Task description**** * Assist in the qualification of organic and composite materials for application in aerospace industry * Interface with obsolescence management department to find suitable material replacements * Perform the link between different design departments to gather necessary engineering requirements to find the best material solutions for a specific application * Manage test campaigns, including the reporting of test results * Support the digitalization efforts by managing and analyzing large sets of data across different platforms * Assist in the development of digital visualization tools and cross platform integration ****Required qualifications**** The work task requires knowledge and skills that are usually acquired through a relevant, completed course of study with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of materials, aerospace, or mechanical engineering, or comparable courses of study. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways. ****Skills and competences**** * Desired first experience in the aerospace industry, or other dealing with organic and composite material and process qualifications * Familiarized with the definition of engineering requirements * First knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and techniques for aerospace applications * Good knowledge of adhesives and sealants used in structural applications * Desired experience in the management of databases and data analysis * Knowledge of programming (e.g. AppScript, C++, Java, and python) * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure * Committed, proactive and team-orientated way of thinking and acting * Very good German and English level, both writing and speakin * Willingness
