Must Have
Prior experience leading and training others, Ability to understand written instructions, Able and willing to stand, sit, or walk, Able and willing to drive a fork truck, Basic mathematical skills, Well-developed verbal and written communication skills, Basic skills in Microsoft Office, On-site attendance is essential, High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience, Supervisor experience at least 2 years, Material Handling experience at least 3 years, Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, Ability to perform and understand shop math, Ability to solve practical problems, Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
What You'll Do.
coordinate and direct material handlers
Report and give solution to unsafe conditions
Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed
Participate in Materials Department daily activities
Ensure 5S is maintained in work areas
Communicate with support teams and escalate
Communicate with supervisors
management and departments
Ensure material handlers follow standard work
Ensure quality product delivered by team members
Lead training of new team members
Support ongoing training for team members
Monitor and maintain inventory levels
Report excess inventory and shortages
Maintain cycle counts
Guarantee inventory accuracy
Maintain designated area layouts
Maintain First-In-First-Out (FIFO) material flow
Maintain equipment necessary to perform job duties
Report any equipment issues
Maintain containers in good conditions
Follow up to maintenance
Load or unload trailers
Use barcode scanners and ERP system
Ensure all parts are properly label and tagged
Maintain and verify all required documents and records
Support any area that may need assistance
Perform other duties as assigned
