Ensure all materials meet project specifications, aviation authority standards, and quality requirements; Ensure full adherence to project quality benchmarks; Ensure material selections are feasible, durable, and compliant with long-term performance requirements; Ensure consistency and compliance with approved designs

Identify non-conforming materials and support corrective and preventive actions; Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with material defects, supplier non-compliance, and design-material mismatches
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline, Minimum 5 years of experience in materials engineering or materials quality control, knowledge of construction materials including soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete, Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and aviation-related material standards, Experience with laboratory and field testing procedures, Ability to analyze test data and identify trends or compliance issues, Proficient in MS Office and technical reporting, Experience working with airfield pavement materials and high-performance concrete, Knowledge of asphalt and concrete plant operations, Familiarity with QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and NCR processes, Experience with document control systems such as Aconex or similar
Nice to Have
Experience in airport, airfield, runway, or highway projects is preferred, Certification in materials testing or quality management is an advantage
What You'll Do.
and control construction materials used on a major airport airfield and runway development project
Review and process material submittals in accordance with project specifications and approved standards
Ensure all construction materials comply with ICAO / FAA / local aviation authority requirements and applicable ASTM / AASHTO standards
Coordinate with consultants
and suppliers for material approvals
Coordinate field and laboratory testing for soils
and other civil materials
Review test results and verify compliance with approved mix designs and specifications
Identify non-conforming materials and support corrective and preventive actions
Review and approve concrete and asphalt mix designs in coordination with QA/QC teams
Lead the technical review of Prequalification Documentation (PQD) for all potential suppliers
Independent Testing Agencies (ITAs)
and Ready Mix/Asphalt plants to ensure full adherence to project quality benchmarks
Provide expert technical input during the Design Review Process to ensure material selections are feasible
and compliant with long-term performance requirements
Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with material defects
supplier non-compliance
and design-material mismatches through continuous
predictive Quality Assurance (QA) oversight
Monitor batching plant operations to ensure consistency and compliance with approved designs
and pre-production testing
Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams regarding material usage and availability
Maintain material tracking logs
Prepare technical reports

and daily/weekly updates
Ensure material handling
and testing activities comply with HSE and environmental requirements
Support sustainable material practices and waste reduction where applicable
