What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience, Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills, High attention to detail with ability to accurately process orders, Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and learn warehouse management systems, Intermediate math skills
Nice to Have
Previous experience with construction and fire protection products or warehouse management software (Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, Outlook)
What You'll Do.
and ship customer orders
and put away vendor material
Handle customer returns
Follow Health and Safety rules
Load and unload trucks
Operate forklift and material handling equipment
Verify material received against packing slip
Note discrepancies or damaged material
Print and verify computer receiving documents
Enter received material into computer system
Identify and store special order material
Identify and store damaged material
Note shipping discrepancies on Bill of Lading
Initiate freight claims
Forward paperwork to appropriate teammate
Pick material for customer orders
Count and compare items to shipping documentation
Assemble material for shipment
Pack material for shipment
Complete documentation for third-party carrier shipments
Complete Transportation of Dangerous Goods documentation
Inform Supervisor of inventory discrepancies
Inform Supervisor of damaged/defective material
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety
Inform Supervisor of safety issues
Assist teammates in servicing customers
Perform other tasks as requested
