The Entry Material Handler role is responsible for operating a forklift to collect, stack, and deliver a wide variety of materials within the production plant to support assigned team. **What You 'll Be Doing** * Demonstrates consistency in practicing all safety procedures. * Identifies material types and practice proper disposal of scrap. * Operates the following equipment associated with material handling: radios, scanners, trash compacter, and cardboard bailer. * Maintains a clean and orderly area ensuring that; aisle ways are clear, part racks are organized, parts are stocked in posted locations * Fills out daily check list and completes visual inspections. * Keeps supplies adequately stocked for team’s daily needs. * Responds to team request in timely manner. * Understands how to correctly use the following functions within JDE programing (i.e. sending Kanban cards, tracking Kanban card status and history.) * Utilizes all programs for communication of supply needs in department. * Models Team Member Expected Behaviors and Henny Penny core values * Consistently models the Company values and expected behaviors. * Other duties as assigned. **What We 're Looking For** * High School/GED or equivalent experience Required * 1+ experience in material handling or operating a forklift Required * Must be at least 18 years of age * Ability to frequently lift or move objects up to 60 lbs. * Ability to multitask and prioritize internal customer needs * Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills. * Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot * Knowledge of basic math skills (add, subtract, multi
