Job Description Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for the Fabrication team. Develop and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets and databases to track material usage, inventory levels, and cost analysis. Implement strategic inventory management practices, including forecasting demand, setting stock levels, and initiating proactive measures to prevent shortages or overstocking. Collaborate closely with engineering, purchasing, and production departments to optimize material specifications, streamline processes, and resolve any issues related to material availability or quality. Utilize advanced MRP/ERP systems to generate reports, analyze data, and provide insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to sheet metal fabrication and incorporate them into the material management processes. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the Materials and Fabrication team. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: In-depth understanding and attention to detail regarding Bill of Materials (BOM) information, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues arising from incomplete or conflicting data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with multiple departments, provide comprehensive explanations. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and track open items to completion.
