Must Have
Understand and read complicated Engineering drawings, Conform to labor standards, Maintain productivity efficiencies, Certified to weld with SMAW (Stick), Certified to weld with FCAW (flux-core), Certified to weld with GMAW (6G STT root pass), Certified to weld with GTAW (Tig), Pass a one-page written test on the interpretation of a Welding Procedure Specification (85 % minimum score), Pass a two-page written test on weld symbol interpretation, Seventy percent (70%) of the welds examined with X-ray must pass the first examination on a yearly basis, Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, engineering drawings, and procedure manuals, Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, Ability to apply rational thinking to understanding and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, Independently problem solve, Ability to operate various precision measuring and testing equipment, Interpret Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&I), Measure weld size using a fillet weld gauge, Follow a written Welding procedure Specification (WPS), Use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, Talk or hear, Stand and walk, Sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch, Lift and/or move parts and equipment weighing up to 10 pounds, Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, Close vision, Color vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception, Ability to adjust focus
What You'll Do.
Comply with ASME B31. 3 code
Perform manual dimensional layout
Operate pressure test cart
Address quality issues
Resolve quality problems
Complete required paperwork
Maintain continuity log
Visualize piping layouts
