What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Six (6) years of experience in electrical work, Two (2) years as a lead worker or in a supervisory capacity, Valid Texas Class C driver’s license, Valid State of Texas or a reciprocal state Master Electrician License, Ability to install, repair, and maintain large high voltage equipment, motors, and switch gear, Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations, Ability to supervise, lead, and provide technical expertise to other electricians, Skill in making accurate estimates of time, materials, and labor, Ability to read various complex schematic diagrams and blueprints, Skill in use and instruction of various types of hand tools, power tools, precision testing and/or troubleshooting equipment, Ability to understand technical terminology, Skill in customer service and conflict resolution, Skill in communicating effectively both verbally and in writing, Skill in establishing and maintaining and effective relationships, Must be able to assist with the installation of electrical work under no supervision
Nice to Have
Vocational Diploma or an associate degree in electrical conduits and/or electrical engineering, or a two (2)-year technical degree

Supervise junior electricians
Manage installation of electrical plans
Calculate electrical loads
Connect electrical circuits
Install electrical service
Plan and schedule crews
Assign duties to crews
Monitor work performed by teams
Ensure compliance with Electrical Code
Ensure compliance with City Ordinances
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
Address safety problems
Design preventive maintenance program
Employ energy conservation measures
Attend construction meetings
Estimate materials and power
Plan electrical upgrades
Assign appropriate crew and equipment
Monitor equipment inventory
Collaborate with contractors

Locate underground lines
Perform line location
