As a Manufacturing Operator, you are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining select progressive die press machines, auxiliary equipment, saws, assembly tables, specific automated machinery, specific Cadweld / Flashweld / brazing equipment and other miscellaneous manufacturing tooling to safely produce quality products of varying material according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects you to adhere to all safe work procedures and to create parts up to the highest of quality standards. **W HAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:** * Sets up and operates heavy-duty power equipment to bend, form, stretch and straighten a variety of products / materials such as plates, extrusions, structural shapes, etc. as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates. * Perform duties required to assist setup and operate multiple automatic and/or multi-slide equipment perform simultaneous processes for a variety of products. * Ability to understand and work from drawings, order / route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions. * Check material for correct size, type, identification, configuration and color. * Assist with set-up of dies, movable and stationary equipment, forming blocks, adjust stroke and feed as needed. * Competent use micrometers, calipers, scales, tape measures, calculators and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications. * Move materials in the performance of duties using pallet jack, lift truck or crane (if PIT qualified) as necessary
