Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions. ** _JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:_****** * This role plays a key part in supporting the production and manufacturing engineering team by troubleshooting equipment issues, developing new ideas and solutions, and driving safety improvements on a daily basis. * Assist with layout planning, installation, and testing of automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment. * Work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced, high output environment on a variety of short-term projects. * Support and implement Lean Manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities. * Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment. * Create documentation for the processes used in building products. * Recommend product improvement and maintain standard drawings/specs. * Support new product launches and development (PDP Process). * Provide documentation for estimating the cost of materials and labor of manufactured product. * Support daily production through troubleshooting, testing, and validation of product. * Perform other related duties as needed. ** _KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:_ ** * Ability to network cross-functionally. * Ability to show initiative, be a self-starter and be able to work with little to no supervision. * Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment. * Ability to use computer programs including MS Office, MRP (JD Edwards preferred), SolidWorks, etc. – intermediate level. * A
