What you'll do As the Manufacturing Engineer, Switchboards, you will own production process control, shop floor efficiency, and facility reliability for switchboard and control panel assembly operations. The position bridges production, engineering, quality, and facilities to ensure on-time delivery, cost control, and consistent product quality across UL891 switchboards, UL67 panel boards, and various control wiring projects. Emphasis is placed on practical execution, on time delivery, continuous improvement, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Where you'll work You will be based in our Long Beach, CA facility. Responsibilities Ensure safe work practices for all assembly and wiring processes and compliance with applicable safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70E, IEEE, etc.) Create, maintain, and continuously improve all production routings for switchboard and panelbaords, ensuring alignment with actual shop floor practices and labor efficiency Establish and enforce standardized work at the direct labor level to drive consistency, reduce variability, wiring, and final assembly Design and implement fixtures, jigs, and tooling improvements to reduce cycle time, improve safety, and lower operational cost in panel and switchboard assembly
