Methods for analyzing and quantifying risk; Failure investigation
U. S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U. S., protected individual as defined by 8 U. S. C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U. S. Department of State (ITAR Requirements), Ability to prove identity and authorization to work in the U. S., Compliance with United States Citizenship and Immigration Services employment verification requirements (Form I-9), Legal authorization to work with or have access to export control materials as necessary to perform the job
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or similar, Experience with detailed mechanical design including: machined parts, metal additive parts, weldments, fasteners, and complex assemblies, Experience with safety-critical systems, methods for analyzing and quantifying risk, or failure investigation, Ability to lead by influence across disciplines and experience levels
Nice to Have
Intimate knowledge of aerospace and engineering standards (AS9100 experience preferred)
What You'll Do.
Own the development and implementation of the quality thesis in a cutting-edge launch vehicle factory
Redefine AS9100 implementation and hardware reliability metrics
Develop capabilities in the factory that improve lead time and reliability of the launch vehicle product
Quantify risk at the intersection of manufacturing process and vehicle performance
Own and implement work execution tools and processes
Own the AS9100 certification process
Develop the latest manufacturing technology and techniques
Support continuous improvement of both processes and launch vehicles
