Must Have

Associate degree with 4+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, Master’s degree, PhD, 6+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in lieu of a degree, U. S. Citizen or U. S. Permanent Resident

Nice to Have

Experience working with castings and/or forgings either producing or processing downstream, Demonstrated ability to discuss both technical and business issues with all levels of management within the supply chain and with customers, Experience bringing diverse groups together to resolve technical issues and problems and perform root cause analysis, Understanding of metal removal and processing of Aerospace components, Knowledge of FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) process, APQP, and PPAP, Practical knowledge of source/method change and classified parts control, Experience solving problems using a structured approach, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and / or Black Belt certification

Act as Technical Authority for Supplier Management Team

Integrate Manufacturing Engineering activities across product lifecycle

Evaluate Methods of Manufacture and compliance to Design Intent

Ensure consistency delivering quality

delivery rate and lead time

Ensure product integrity for component or system

Align method of manufacture with design intent

Interface with design engineering organization

Utilize technical packages to establish best practices

Influence commodity strategies and sourcing decisions

Develop method of manufacture for new components

Meet customer requirements for quality

delivery and responsiveness

Ensure performance level is sustainable

Validate supplier’s method of manufacture and capability

Approve component airworthiness

Process critical data associated with component definition

Process associated specifications

Process compliance to Rolls-Royce procedures
