What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical or equivalent), Relevant manufacturing experiences or skills related to a high-pace production environment, 2+ years of manufacturing experience in metal fabrication, machining, or assembly & finishing, Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD/CAM software (e. g. , SolidWorks or Creo), Ability to read engineering drawings and familiarity with 3D models, Working knowledge of advanced manufacturing principles, including FMEA, DFMA, 5S, Six Sigma, PFEP, and Lean, Experience with ERP and MES software, Proficiency with MS Office applications, Demonstrated project management experience, Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, Analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset

Nice to Have

Successful completion of a TTC Internship or comparable relevant work experience

What You'll Do.

Driving manufacturing engineering projects

Providing essential technical support to the Shakopee plant

Improving process capability

Enhancing operational efficiency

Ensuring the seamless introduction of new products and processes

Analyzing operational constraints to drive equipment productivity

improve process capability

and reduce downtime to increase overall plant capacity

Engaging in daily production tier meetings and using analytical methods to identify and implement solutions for problems that adversely affect quality

and maintaining comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes and equipment

Providing mentoring and training to machine operators

Developing programs using vendor software as required

for example automated sheet metal laser cutting and press brake equipment

Preparing capital equipment requests (IARs)

coordinating the investigation

and training necessary to successfully integrate new equipment

Completing cost estimation

generating Request for Quotations (RFQs)

updating Bills of Material (BOMs) and routings

and managing other Engineering Change Management (ECM) activities and CAD drawing maintenance

Providing thorough cost data analysis to Engineering

and Finance for use in project direction

and return on investment (ROI) calculations

Acting as the primary interface to Design Engineering

providing critical manufacturing input on process capability

materials utilization

and design alternatives (DFMA) to optimize product value

Ensuring the timely and effective introduction of new parts

Reviewing and evaluating the sourcing of production parts

recommending alternate sourcing strategies when appropriate

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Daily collaboration is expected with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and other Engineering teams.
