What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education in a work related field or a Skilled Trade Certificate of Qualification, 5 years of work experience in an Automotive Engineering Environment, Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, working knowledge of CAD Systems
Nice to Have
Experience with Tandem, Transfer and Progressive dies as well as Assembly Equipment
What You'll Do.
Administration of current production program activities
Follow up internally and at customer assembly plants
Responsible for all engineering changes
quality issues and continuous improvement activity related to current production
Participate in and support launch team on new launches
Quote both current and new programs
Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area
Perform all duties in a safe manner
charts and other documentation required for engineering changes
Establish 8-D problem solving corrective actions methods and procedures
Compile and update PFMEA's
Coordinate Corrective Actions with plant
Represent Karmax at Customer locations
Support plant by recommending productivity and systems improvements and/or assist with ongoing issues
and Senior Engineers in program establishment and follow-up of all program stages
Material Requisitions
Material Specifications and KEC’s
Deal with customer and vendors
Develop process/design concepts and tool designs
Assist in developing quotations for piece price
tooling and capital costs
Assist in developing manufacturing feasibility and seeks out process and or part changes if required to achieve feasibility
Assist in the follow-up of new tooling programs
vendors and other departments to implement engineering changes
continuous productivity improvements
cost reduction programs
Prepare detailed material requisitions
spare part requirements
project status reports
Maintain engineering records and standards
Perform all duties in an environmentally responsible manner
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Follow up internally and at customer assembly plants; Coordinate Corrective Actions with plant; Represent Karmax at Customer locations; Support Manager, Dept. Leader, and Senior Engineers; Work with customers, vendors and other departments

They follow up both internally and at customer assembly plants and are responsible for all engineering changes, quality issues and continuous improvement activity related to current production.
