Full Job Description

manufacturing company Manufacturing company needs a manufacturing engineer to optimize processes and support product lines. The company makes assembled metal products. Familiarity with mechanical designs and manufacturing is a must. Very generous salary and benefits, including health, dental, vision, and 401K. This company has several locations, and this position will require some travel. Initially, you may be based in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Will consider Continuous Improvement Engineers, Industrial Engineers, or Manufacturing Engineers. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Working with a safety-first approach, lead manufacturing projects, coordinating both internal and external resources to meet KPI’s. · Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing ideas that improve production costs, volumes, and quality. · Work on capital improvement projects, machinery improvement, plant layout. Work with vendors and contractors on equipment installations. · Lead manufacturing process development for new or improved products · Implement ideas for robotics and automation, where practical. Familiarity with PLC-based production systems is a plus. ## Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: · Bachelors' degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar is preferred but not required. · At least two years of experience developing manufacturing methods, procedures, processes in a production environment. Should have knowledge about safety practices, inspections. · In-depth knowledge of materials and mechanics, with application to production systems and tooling. Experience with welding is a plus. · Experience with continuous improvement, lean principles, and value stream mapping in a manufacturing environment. · Should have some experience with 3D CAD systems.
