Drive unit performance to operational entitlement with respect to yields, usages, reliability, and quality; Achieve annual operating productivity targets by maintaining a unit performance tracking program; Maintain accurate accounting of all unit production losses and drive actions to correct; Achieve measurable improvements in unit performance aligned to business financial objectives to include raw material usage, energy usage, reliability, capacity, and quality; Position papers developed and maintained on market position in industry to include benchmarking studies of raw material and energy usages, catalyst performance, reliability, and quality; Well-defined productivity plans (current year +1) and pipelines (5 years) for respective unit(s); Develop and maintain dynamic operational entitlement models in order to understand best performance for any given set of conditions (production demand, catalyst age, etc. ); Successfully operationalize technology projects; setting targets for short interval controls (SIC’s); resolution of action items; Execute annual WIG productivity plans; Assist with production planning, tracking, and closing

Must Have

BS in Engineering preferably Chemical or Mechanical, 4+ years of chemical industry experience, Process optimization background, Experience troubleshooting in a plant environment, Systems - ASPEN products, heat transfer, hydraulics, etc., Knowledge of Process Safety Management is essential, technical and analytical skills with the ability to innovate and solve complex problems, Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, communication skills, both oral and written, Ability to provide off-hours plant support is essential, Ability to perform in a highly dynamic work environment, Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and manage projects to successful completion

Nice to Have

Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) trained, certification preferred, Process Design Background to assist in capital project management preferred

What You'll Do.

Monitor unit performance on a weekly and monthly basis by tracking key process indicators (KPI’s) and key operating parameters (KOP’s); setting targets for short interval controls (SIC’s)

Actively support the site and area safety programs via participation (or leadership) in PHA

incident investigations

resolution of action items

and other activities to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance.

Facilitate MOCs originating from unit needs

Update and maintain unit process safety information

Troubleshoot and optimize of the process to address gaps identified through performance monitoring

Work with reliability to provide technical support for RCA’s

Assist in delivering technical training to operators

Own the Consequences of Deviation procedures

Execute annual WIG productivity plans

Participate on HCN team
