What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience working on complex bids with a proven record of accomplishment in the creation of auditable cost models, proposals and bids, Commercially astute as working with cost models to generate costings for direct/in directs, materials and other costs associated with manufacturing of products, Excellent communication skills, Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team, with a proactive approach, Ability to articulate theory that has been applied to a costing approach and ensure evidence is collated for audit purposes
Nice to Have
Experience in generating an auditable manufacturing cost base for bids in D&M Phase or similar is desirable, Experience in the defence industry, particularly working on bids in Concept/Development phase through to Manufacturing phase would be advantageous
What You'll Do.
Supporting both the Design (New Concept) & Manufacture (Series Production) phases of bidding
interpreting bid directives
utilising multiple data sources
creating 3-point estimations
perform advanced data analytics to inform bid content
applying robust methodologies with commercial acumen and a focus on Risk and AED’s
generating an auditable manufacturing cost base for bids in D&M Phase or similar
generating cost models
generating compliant complex bids on Major Programmes
