What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience, 3+ years experience in mechanical or electrical hardware assembly, test, and/or installation, Experience in the aerospace industry, automotive industry, medical device industry, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating / manufacturing environment, Able to stand for long periods of time, Able to perform repetitive assembly operations, Able to climb and down ladders, Able to work in tight spaces, Able to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted, Candidates must be 18 years or older
Nice to Have
Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment, Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements, Experience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment, Demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, work instructions and standard operating procedures, Ability to use precision measuring instruments, Ability to work effectively in a team environment, Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities
What You'll Do.
Champion high safety and quality standards
Perform integration and testing of Kuiper satellites
Perform integration and testing of complex subassemblies
Conduct rigging and critical lifts of bulky
Utilize calibrated tools
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Read and interpret schematics
Read and interpret technical documentation
Execute work in accordance with established procedures
Execute work in accordance with specifications
Execute work in accordance with work instructions
Identify and document non-conformities
Operate computer software programs
Operate Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Partner with Manufacturing Engineers (ME)
Drive continuous improvement opportunities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Work overtime when required
Adapt to working independently
Adapt to working collaboratively within a team
Perform repetitive assembly operations
Assemble Amazon Leo satellites
Perform mechanical assembly
Perform avionics integration
Perform harnessing connections
Perform fiber optic splicing
Ensure satellite build meets standards
Maintain strict timelines
