What You'll Do.
Managing the activities of volunteers providing services to all Corewell Health locations
and counseling volunteers
Collaborating with managers within Corewell Health to establish and promote volunteer opportunities
Tracking and reporting of data related to the volunteer programs
Assessing needs of individual clinical and non-clinical areas to plan and develop volunteer programs
Ensuring candidates have completed all required steps of the application process
Matching volunteers to appropriate assignments
Maintaining complete and accurate documentation of all volunteer records
Developing departmental policies and procedures
Promoting community interest in the volunteer program and the hospital
Coordinating the annual volunteer recognition event and all other events that support volunteers
Developing and presenting classes for volunteers for orientation and ongoing instruction and education
Participating in surveys and collecting data to determine effectiveness of volunteer service programs

Job Summary - Manager Volunteer Services Responsible for managing the activities of volunteers providing services to all Corewell Health locations. This includes, but is not limited to, recruiting, screening, interviewing, orienting, and counseling volunteers; working collaboratively with managers within Corewell Health to establish and promote volunteer opportunities and tracking and reporting of data related to the volunteer programs. **Essential Functions - Manager Volunteer Services** * Collaborates with managers and staff to assess needs of individual clinical and non-clinical areas in order to plan and develop volunteer programs and service opportunities consistent with the needs of Corewell Health. * Recruits and carries out initial interview for volunteer candidates. Works with department administrative staff to ensure that candidates have completed all of the required steps of the application process and assures matching of volunteers to appropriate assignments. Maintains complete and accurate documentation of all volunteer records including the application process, orientation, educational programs, evaluations, recognition and counseling. * Collaborates with leadership to develop departmental policies and procedures, forms and processes that are effective, efficient and result in optimal customer service for internal and external customers. * Strives for growth in the volunteer programs. Promotes community interest in the volunteer program and the hospital through speaking engagements, special receptions, and other public relations activities. * Coordinates the annual volunteer recognition event and all other events that support volunteers.
