What You'll Do.
Manage day-to-day administrative operations
Ensure smooth delivery of unit activities
Ensure faculty and staff are supported
Partner with Unit Heads and faculty
Ensure appropriate administrative support
Advise faculty on support staff utilization
Support faculty through career milestones
Maintain strong relationships with faculty
Ensure high level of service
Directly supervise Faculty Support Specialists
Directly supervise Unit Coordinators
Conduct regular check-ins
Provide coaching to staff
Complete annual performance evaluations
Support performance management processes
Monitor workloads and assignments
Ensure equitable distribution of work
Serve as escalation point
Resolve service issues
Support recruitment efforts
Coordinate interviews
Participate in hiring decisions
Oversee onboarding of new staff
Ensure smooth transition into roles
Deliver training to staff
Coordinate training for staff
Gather feedback on training
Refine onboarding materials
Refine onboarding processes
Support ongoing staff development
Recommend training opportunities
Collaborate on employee relations
Collaborate on policy interpretation
Collaborate on workforce processes
Ensure adherence to University policies
Ensure adherence to School policies
Monitor staff overtime
Coordinate coverage during absences
Maintain accurate records
Identify operational inefficiencies
Recommend improvements to service delivery
Support implementation of initiatives
Support implementation of tools
Support implementation of best practices
Contribute to communication efforts
