What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, Seven or more years of relevant experience, Three or more years of supervisory or high-level team/project leadership experience

Nice to Have

working knowledge of RTO tariffs, stakeholder processes and transmission planning frameworks with a deep familiarity in MISO and exposure to PJM and/or SPP, Demonstrated leadership experience managing professional‑level staff, Experience developing and communicating energy/transmission policy strategy to senior, exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex technical issues into executive-level, organizational skills, strategic judgment and the ability to manage multiple high-priority issues concurrently

What You'll Do.

Manage and develop a team of RTO Policy Specialists

Coordinate internal positions on stakeholder matters

Advocate Ameren's interests in stakeholder meetings

Build alliances with other stakeholders

Lead team's advocacy and participation in RTO stakeholder

Coordinate with Federal Regulatory Affairs

Develop Ameren positions before FERC

Communicate and deliver reporting to transmission leadership

Identify advocacy opportunities

Develop Ameren's positions

Provide timely feedback and advocacy

Develop and implement a communication strategy

Build effective and strategic alliances

Provide regular constructive feedback

Conduct performance reviews

Demonstrate leadership on issues

Implement RTO policy strategies

Review and provide guidance on policy initiatives

Develop recommended company positions

Analyze stakeholder proposals

Determine impact on Ameren's business objectives

Lead review of RTO policy driven regulatory filings

Identify gaps or issues with proposed filings

Represent Ameren in RTO stakeholder forums

Provide regular written and verbal updates

Maintain issue trackers

Escalate emerging issues

Ensure RTO policy considerations are understood

Incorporate RTO policy into project development

Support transmission project advancement

Identify policy enabled opportunities

Mitigate regulatory risks

How You'll Work.
