Must Have
College diploma or university degree or equivalent, 5 years of experience in complex ATS or Air operations, Experience in aviation focused leadership positions, Experience advising and providing recommendations to senior management, Experience conducting in-depth root-cause analysis, Experience developing corrective action plans/mitigations, Experience in matrix-management framework, Knowledge of safety investigation methods, processes and theory, Knowledge of human performance and human factors models, Knowledge of process management/facilitation, Knowledge of change management, Knowledge of performance measurement, Knowledge of risk management theories, principles and techniques, Ability to build a people network, Ability to maintain and promote personal, social, ethical, and organizational values, Minimum 3 days per week on site, Meet security requirement, Legally able to work in Canada
Nice to Have
Training in Human Factors/Aviation Safety or related field
What You'll Do.
Act as a direct link between Safety &
Assure integration in the delivery of ATS
Operate as an expert on application and execution
Collaborate with national and regional safety stakeholders
Ensure alignment with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
Achieve corporate safety priorities
Provide regional units with guidance
Provide day-to-day support on safety & quality activities
Conduct safety promotions
Provide safety training
Ensure effective delivery of SMS components
Support the investigation process
Gather operational information
Assess the level of risk associated with safety
Track and report on key safety performance indicators
Proactively address trends that could affect operational safety
Ensure compliance with policies
regulations and standards
Drive and improve processes
Provide expertise in Safety Risk Management activities
Participate in Safety Risk Management activities
Track emerging operational hazards and risks
Enhance operational safety
Stay up to date with emerging and changing
Coordinate gathering of information within the respective region
Support voluntary and mandatory reporting programs
