What They're Looking For.
Must Have
10 years of General Contractor related construction and preconstruction experience, at least 5 years of which were directly involved with construction projects, Experience with manufacturing or industrial sector construction, Experience negotiating contracts, putting bids together for final presentation, An understanding of prime contracts requirements, Construction estimating and procurement experience, Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Timberline, AutoCAD, or Revit software systems, Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task on simultaneous projects, A willingness to travel for project requirements
Nice to Have
food, beverage, consumer products, pharmaceutical, or related industries preferred, A bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or a related technical degree, OSHA 10- or 30-hour certification
What You'll Do.
Develop and maintain an effective preconstruction program
Produce conceptual and preliminary budgets and schedules
Establish and maintain a list of prequalified vendors and subcontractors
Develop and maintain master bid documents and scopes of work
Participate in procurement of major project scopes of work and equipment
Develop and maintain master project estimate data base
Maintain master project cost data base
Develop project schedule templates
Participate in developing initial project estimates
Develop a preliminary project schedule
Participate in developing and/or review project bid list
Participate in developing and/or review subcontractor scopes of work
Participate in and/or review project managers analysis of contract documents
Participate in and/or review project managers major material purchase recommendations
Update project estimate based on review of drawings
Review and establish critical dates
Advise project manager of procurement activities
Participate in post project review
Monitor quality control program activities
Monitor actual verses budgeted cost
Monitor actual verses projected project durations
Conduct annual performance evaluation of direct reports
Provide periodic reports on workload
Participate in the development and maintenance of an updated company operations manual
