Must Have
Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, background in low-voltage power distribution and/or switchboard design, Ability to review and guide complex electrical system designs, Experience supporting quotations, BOM development, and technical proposals, Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Nice to Have
Familiarity with UL 891 and/or UL 1558 standards, communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

## Description Engineering Manager – Low Voltage Power Distribution (Switchboards) Location: Marietta, OH Job Type: Direct Hire Compensation: Starting at $160,000+ annually, based on experience Role Overview We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of low-voltage switchboard systems supporting data center applications. This role combines people leadership with hands-on technical oversight, ensuring high-quality designs that meet customer, safety, and performance requirements. This position works closely with manufacturing, sales, and customers to drive efficient execution, technical accuracy, and continuous improvement across engineering operations. ## Key Areas of Responsibility Leadership & Team Management Provide direction and mentorship to a team of electrical and mechanical engineers Set expectations around ownership, quality, and timely delivery of engineering work Review and approve design packages, drawings, and technical documentation Drive improvements in engineering workflows, tools, and overall team performance Technical Oversight & Design Direction Oversee the design of low-voltage switchboard systems, including UL 891 and UL 1558 applications Ensure designs align with customer specifications, one-line diagrams, and system requirements Guide configuration of breakers, bus systems, metering, controls, and protection schemes Support development of standardized and scalable design approaches Cross-Functional Engagement Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are production-ready and efficient Partner with sales and estimating teams on quoting, BOM development, and technical alignment Interface directly with customers for design reviews, technical clarification, and issue resolution Coordinate with supply chain teams on component selection and vendor strategy Support commercial efforts to ensure proposals are accurate and executable Quality, Compliance & Testing Ensure all designs meet UL, NEC, and applicable data
