Full Job Description
## Accountabilities In this role, you will lead the strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of enterprise platform services across virtualization, operating systems, and middleware environments. You will oversee a technical team responsible for ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and security while driving modernization initiatives across infrastructure domains. Lead and develop teams managing virtualization, OS (Linux, Windows Server, AIX), and middleware platforms, including performance management, coaching, and workforce planning. Define and enforce service delivery standards, operational metrics, governance frameworks, and best practices across platform services. Oversee VMware and private cloud environments, ensuring high availability, performance optimization, capacity planning, and resilience. Manage full lifecycle operations of enterprise operating systems, including patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and incident resolution. Supervise middleware platforms to ensure availability, security, compliance, and effective support for enterprise applications. Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), monitoring, and self-service capabilities to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk. Collaborate with cybersecurity, architecture, and application teams to ensure platform alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements. Lead vendor management activities, including licensing, service reviews, escalations, and contract renewals. Requirements: This role requires extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure environments combined with strong leadership capabilities and technical depth across virtualization, operating systems, and middleware technologies. 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms, including virtualization, OS, and middleware systems. 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical infrastructure or platform engineering teams.
