Duties for this position include, but are not limited to: -Supervise the Operations Section which includes the supervisors of the Returns Processing unit, Returns Resolutions and Support Services unit -Assist the Assistant Division Director in formulating tax policy, reviewing proposed legislation, and resolving complex or controversial tax issues -Review and propose revisions to clarify the Division’s position in situations involving multiple interpretations -Assist in analyzing the impact of legislation on forms, procedures, compliance and enforcement and recommends whether additional funds and staff are needed -Review drafts of new legislation being proposed and explain the results to Division management and any other interested party -Provide technical assistance and interpretation of tax laws and procedures usually related to pending legislation, difficult tax questions and policies/procedures -Attend conferences and parti
