## **ROLE SUMMARY** Our Global Cyber Defense team is responsible for safeguarding Pfizer’s digital assets and infrastructure through proactive threat detection, response, and risk mitigation across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The **Manager, Network Security** is a part of a team of network security engineers and partners closely with Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Manufacturing, and Cyber GRC teams to embed security controls aligned to industry best practices, regulatory expectations, and corporate risk tolerance. ## ## ## **ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES** * Define and maintain network security architecture across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, including segmentation, perimeter defense, and secure connectivity. * Lead implementation and optimization of firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure web gateways, ZTNA, VPNs, and network access controls. * Ensure network designs support regulated environments (e.g., GxP, validated systems) without impeding business operations. * Oversee day‑to‑day network security operations, including monitoring, alert response, rule management, and incident support. * Partner with SOC and incident response teams to investigate and remediate network‑based security events. * Drive continuous improvements to detection, resilience, and availability of network security controls. * Ensure alignment with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory expectations, including NIST CSF, NIST SP 800‑53, ISO 27001, and company policies. * Support audits, inspections, and risk assessments by providing architectural artifacts, evidence, and control narratives. * Partner with Cyber GRC teams to translate risk requirements into enforceable network controls. * Lead and mentor network security engineers and managed service providers. * Collaborate with Infrastructure, Manufacturing, and Application Security teams. * Provide clear executive‑level communication on risk posture, initiatives, and investment needs. ## **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** * Bachelor’s de
