Must Have
Ph.D. in Earth, Environmental, Biological or Chemical Sciences with a focus on the analysis, use and/or applications of stable isotopes, Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing a multi-disciplinary stable isotope facility, Hands-on experience on multi-collector isotope mass spectrometry and related peripherals, Laboratory experience in high vacuum cryogenic gas extraction line design and use, Knowledge of MS Office suite software, Ability to understand the science and goals sought in various fields involving stable isotopes as well as the methods used in sample collection and preparation, Solid background in electronic and computer programming, and data management, including, but not limited to, reporting of quality assurance and quality control metrics, and F.A.I.R. data principles, First aid and Occupational Health training, Bilingualism – English and French (spoken and written)
What You'll Do.
Manage laboratory personnel and users
Consult and advise users on projects
Formulate and develop innovations for laboratory efficiency
Maintain and report on facility progress
Establish and enforce security and safety protocols
Establish and enforce data quality control protocols
Plan and maintain laboratory computers and network
Supervise and instruct geochemical analysis techniques
Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses
diagnose and repair equipment
Promote the laboratory externally
