Must Have
A degree/diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent work experience, 3-5 years of Health and Safety experience in a medium to large organization, Ability to communicate key HOP messages to senior leaders, site leaders, workforce and business partners, Understanding in operational learning methodologies that include both learning from incidents and learning from normal work, Ability to evaluate safeguards for error likely scenarios, Possess a thorough understanding of local and Ontario provincial CSA standards and ISO 45001, Recognized leadership and autonomy, excellent communication, planning and work organization skills, Team oriented and ability to engage people, Proficiency reporting in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with the ability to learn other online systems
Nice to Have
Registered as Canadian registered safety professional (CRSP), experience in HOP, training delivery, coaching, motivated to seek and understand problems in a methodical way
What You'll Do.
Provide guidance on health and safety
Act as an ambassador of culture and values
Provide training and education on safety policies
Support and coach management team
Promote a culture of employee engagement
Influence change through risk assessments
Conduct employee risk review
Maintain regular floor presence
Provide guidance on incident investigation
Audit facilities for compliance
Support deployment of human organizational performance
Facilitate Learning Teams
Partner with local agencies
