Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related discipline, 10+ years of professional experience in fluid systems design and analysis, with a background in cryogenic or high-pressure systems, 3+ years of direct people management experience, including hiring, performance management, and team development, Demonstrated ability to review and approve complex engineering deliverables: P&IDs, analysis reports, component specifications, and test documentation, Experience leading or actively participating in design reviews, PHAs, and formal safety processes, Familiarity with fluid network and thermal analysis tools (AFT Fathom/Arrow, Thermal Desktop, or equivalent), Experience with 3D CAD and configuration management in a hardware delivery environment, Must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Nice to Have

Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a related field, Experience in launch vehicle ground support systems or launch site infrastructure development, Working knowledge of ASME B31. 3 process piping code and experience applying it to design decisions, Hands-on experience commissioning or operating cryogenic ground systems in an operational launch or test environment, Experience developing process hazard analyses and formal risk evaluation frameworks, Knowledge of precision cleaning specifications, material compatibility, and passivation of stainless steel, Knowledge of marine or coastal environment corrosion mitigation strategies (materials selection, coatings), Prior experience scaling an engineering team during a high-growth program phase

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. This role supports the development of ground infrastructure for New Glenn's second-generation launch vehicle. As the manager of Ground Systems Fluids Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, analyzing, and delivering the critical fluid systems that enable launch operations, spanning cryogenic propellant systems, high-pressure pneumatics, deluge water, and environmental control systems. We are seeking a technical leader who brings deep hands-on fluids engineering expertise and the ability to develop people, drive engineering rigor, and deliver hardware in a fast-paced launch environment. You will set the technical direction for your team, hold accountability for design quality and schedule, and play a key role in growing the fluids engineering capability for ground systems. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** * Own the technical quality of fluid system designs across the team's portfolio, including storage, conveyance, and control. * Review and approve engineering artifacts: P&IDs, system schematics, 3D models, component specifications, analysis reports, and test procedures. * Drive rigorous analysis practices for fluid network modeling and thermal analysis and ensure results are used to make defensible design decisions. * Lead and participate in design review
