Our technology and innovation, partnerships and networks combine to deliver a unique set of products and services that help people, businesses and governments realize their greatest potential._ **Title and Summary** ### Manager, Government Affairs and Policy ### Manager Government Affairs EU Overview The Government Affairs & Policy team is looking for an experienced Manager Government Affairs EU to help drive our engagement with EU institutions and government representatives, legislators, opinion formers, regulators and others in the payments community pertaining to selected policy priorities of importance to Mastercard. The ideal candidate should be passionate about policy, intellectually curious, analytical and brings an understanding of the technology industry. The Role Based in Brussels, reporting to the Vice President Government Affairs EU, this role supports Mastercard’s public policy advocacy efforts with EU institutions and the European region on selected topics, and will be responsible for direct advocacy and influencing, educating policy makers and various governmental/legislative bodies to positively impact laws on these topics. They include: • Savings & Investment Union • Financial Literacy and Inclusion • FIDA (open banking/open finance) • Digital Fairness Act • Public Procurement • Tokenization and authentication • B2B payments • Orchestration services • Strategy on sustainable tourism • Sustainability products passport • Unfair commercial practices directive • Digital Fairness Act • Child Sexual Abuse Material Regulation • Corporate Tax The successful candidate will execute policy, legislative and regulatory strategies for these topics
