Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, Minimum of 5 years’ experience in compliance or audit, Demonstrated ability to manage a well‑functioning team, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), Ability to draft policies, Competence in designing, analyzing, preparing, and implementing compliance/audit procedures, Ability to monitor audit processes, advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite
Nice to Have
Completion of a recognized accounting designation (e. g. , CPA, CA, or equivalent), experience in not-for-profit is an asset, Experience with SAP systems is an asset
What You'll Do.
Develop and implement governance structures
Create and maintain policies
Strengthen financial controls
Monitor internal policy compliance
Assess and report risks
Lead Expense Claims Processing team
Provide guidance on expense policy
Support Research Operations during audits
Build and manage stakeholder relationships
Identify process gaps
Maintain oversight of financial reporting tools
Participate in committees
Contribute to strategic financial decisions
