Must Have
Bachelor's degree in relevant field, Minimum of five (5) years’ of relevant experience directly in the management and administration of accommodations, Knowledge of the ADA and other related laws addressing persons with disabilities, such as Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, 29 U. S. C. § 794, Knowledge of various alternative formats and alternative technologies that enable individuals with disabilities to communicate, participate, and perform, Ability to work cooperatively with employees, supervisors, other University departments, and external entities to review and coordinate reasonable accommodations
What You'll Do.
Oversee administration of leaves of absence and workplace accommodations
Supervise leave coordinators and accommodation specialists
Process accommodation requests under the ADA
Maintain case management protocols
Engage requestor in interactive process
Obtain employee medical releases
Maintain confidentiality of employee information
Consult with Risk Management for ergonomic assessments
Oversee leave management function for faculty and staff
Develop and maintain directory of accommodation options
Develop and maintain department's web page
Conduct research and draft related policies
Assess efficacy of internal controls
Ensure employees are trained on controls
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Partners with Human Resources’ Client Services, Faculty Affairs, Talent Acquisition and Recruitment, Office of Classroom Management teams; Serves as a liaison with other University disability services
Communication Scope
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Process & Methodology
Ability to establish department goals and objectives, Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others, Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure
