3-5 years of relevant construction experience (quantity surveying, project management, cost control, contact administration), Basic understanding of construction contracts, cost control, cost evaluation and project management principles, Experience in undertaking tender analysis and reports, Knowledge of JCT Intermediate and Minor works preliminaries and valuations, Knowledge of VAR construction re-build costs, analytical and report-writing skills, Good communication skills, both written and verbal, Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, Attention to detail and ability to challenge data critically, Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software tools, Degree/Engineering or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field

Relevant professional qualifications (e. g. RICS, CEng, CIArb, RIBA, APM), Both employer and contractor side experience is desirable, Experience in post-loss construction services (delay and quantum analysis), Experience in UK construction techniques and use of BCIS, Prior experience handling Business Interruption insurance claims is highly desirable, Advanced knowledge of financial data modelling and loss valuations, VBA Macros and experience in automating tasks, Building dashboards or visualizations in Excel or PowerBI, additional linguistic skills in European languages (Spanish, French, or German)

## Company: Marsh ## ## Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Quantity Surveying team within Forensic Accounting and Claims Services (FACS) at Knowledge Services - Marsh Risk. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Knowledge Services team is an integral part of the future strategy of FACS and Risk Consulting. The FACS team in Mumbai is a dynamic and innovative unit within Marsh Risk Consulting, specializing in managing complex insurance claims. We bring together a diverse group of experts, including forensic accountants, lawyers, fraud experts, engineers, and insurance professionals, to deliver comprehensive consultancy solutions to clients managing complex insurance claims or proactively managing risk. * Quantity Surveying is a bespoke service offered to Marsh clients by the FACS team. The team works closely with other Marsh colleagues across the globe to support preparation and analysis of insurance claims related to construction projects. This role offers exposure to a variety of insurance claims and the opportunity to develop expertise in post-loss construction assessment and cost analysis. **We will count on you to:** * Assist in the preparation and presentation of insurance claims as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Work with other senior consultants from Global offices of Marsh in reviewing contractors’ and employers’ loss submissions against contracts and insurance policies. * Analyze construction documents, design drawings, and site reports to identify damage and assess repair requirements. * Help verify the accuracy of data and documentation provided by clients and contractors. * Assist in the preparation of client-ready reports, proposals, and presentations. * Collaborate with claims managers and insurers’ quantity surveyors during claim settlement discussions. * Contribute to the development of continuous risk improvement methodolo
