Must Have
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or a relevant engineering discipline, 5 to 8 years of engineering experience, 1 to 2+ years of experience leading and managing cloud infrastructure, DevOps or SRE teams, Experience as a hands on senior or lead engineer before transitioning into managing teams, Inter and intra team facilitator mindset, Hands on background managing, architecting and troubleshooting both Linux and Windows systems, AWS, Terraform, Atmos, Kubernetes/EKS, Helm, Containerization, Kafka, SQL databases, Cloud networking, Python, Infrastructure modernization efforts, Architecting the integration of established systems into modern cloud native environments, Manage and meet strict security and compliance requirements for cloud environments, PCI, SOC2, Craft disaster recovery plans, Architecting technical solutions, Successfully developing cloud infrastructure that meets product requirements, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner

Who you are Metropolis is seeking a Manager to lead our Central Cloud Infrastructure team in India. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Central Cloud Infrastructure, you will take the helm of a tight-knit, high-performing team of three engineers, guiding the pivotal engineering group that governs cloud usage, manages foundational elements of the cloud, develops shared tooling, supports other teams through consultancy, and ensures the cloud is secure and compliant with PCI and SOC2 requirements. You are a key engineering leader with a holistic perspective on Metropolis's cloud ecosystem who will provide technical and cross-team leadership to manage core infrastructure utilizing AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes/EKS, modernize existing platforms, and architect solutions that smoothly bridge established products with our next-generation cloud ecosystem to increase velocity and maintain long-term cloud health.
