Job Description     Business Development Manager - Corporate client Life Science focus – Shanghai    Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) is seeking a Greater China-based Manager, Business Development to support the development and growth of new corporate clients, and to develop and maintain effective existing relationships with leading Life Science companies. The professional will have direct responsibility for GLG’s focus on China client relationships, including developing deeper relationships with existing clients, understanding opportunities to increase Research product coverage at existing clients, developing organized marketing activities and hosting GLG exclusive Events in China, and growing GLG’s client base.     Corporate  is the high potential growth segment of GLG and the largest single segment among expert network industry in Greater China. We started the Segment in 2017 through a shaky start, now the Segment has become a fully functional team that is driving significant growth for the business. For the next 2 years our focus will be expanding our footprints and broaden our penetration in the Life Science sector.  The business is built around the core phone consultation platform as both a key revenue driver and the ‘top of the funnel’ of the business. Part of the way to grow revenue is to increase the ‘attach rate’ of larger projects to phone consultations. In order to become an one-stop partner for corporate clients, GLG is offering varied product solutions ranged from report, survey, placement to master-class, training and etc. There are of course many challenges within, including how to maintain a high quality product whilst working with outside experts.      Business Development Manager’s main responsibilities include the following:  Manage and grow book of existing clients in the corporate market focusing on Life Science sector and drive commercial result by providing research solutions in the form of phone consultations, market research, advisory and consult
