Summary: Gibson Dunn is a leading global law firm, advising clients on significant transactions and disputes. The firm’s work is distinguished by a unique combination of precision and vision. Based in Madrid, the Manager, Business Development will support the launch of our newest office and drive the growth of the firm’s business in Spain. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Business Development – International, working closely with local leadership, including the Partner-in-Charge, and will collaborate closely with colleagues located throughout the EMEA region as well as those in the U. S. Responsibilities include: Lead the overall business development and marketing for the Madrid office and broader efforts in Spain working closely with senior business development and marketing team members (as applicable). Support the offices’ key client efforts and work with other business development colleagues to ensure the identification, development, and growth of high-value clients including connecting the dots across the firm. Lead and execute all relevant pitches and RFPs including collaborating with the global proposals team when applicable. Draft and maintain practice and location-specific marketing materials that are specific to Madrid, including collaborating with the broader business development team. Support lawyers on individual business development and client activities as needed including working with leadership on integration for future laterals. Maintain bios for all lawyers in the Madrid office. Work with the directories team to support directory and award responses as needed. Spearhead local matter collection to ensure the experience database is updated and maintained and information is available for submission to global league tables.
