Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a BIM Engineering Manager to lead the Americas Mechanical BIM design group, part of a global engineering team responsible for the design and continuous innovation of our rapidly expanding data center footprint. In this role, you will manage a team of BIM designers influencing all aspects of mechanical BIM design, coordination, and documentation — including HVAC, plumbing, and hydronic systems — across the Americas. You will work with internal and external teams to define, design, detail, and document the mechanical features our facilities require, coordinating system space requirements, supporting utilities, and equipment locations across all mechanical-related trades. You will review all models and drawings to ensure they meet applicable regional code requirements described in our design standards, and contribute your expertise to the continual improvement of our BIM quality and standard operating procedures. As the team's subject matter expert, you will serve as the point of escalation for the team on technical BIM systems for mechanical, plumbing and fire protection. You will ensure that the team has the information and tools they need to design our data centers the way we expect them to, and that our operations teams are well equipped to operate and maintain them as needed to meet our goals.
