Must Have

8-11 years of overall professional experience in technology, at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in digital accessibility testing, evaluation, and implementation across web and mobile platforms, Proficiency with accessibility testing tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver or similar assistive technologies, understanding of WCAG 2. 2 guidelines, Section 508 compliance, and ADA requirements for digital accessibility, Ability to identify and prioritize issues by impact. Interprets gray areas and makes sound judgment calls., Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent professional experience in accessibility or user experience design, Experience with web development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) implementation, Excellent communication skills with ability to present accessibility concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Professional accessibility certifications such as CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) or WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist), Experience with accessibility testing frameworks and automation tools such as axe-core, Pa11y, or Lighthouse accessibility audits, Knowledge of assistive technology integration with enterprise applications and risk management platforms

# **About the Role:** **Grade Level (for internal use):** 11 _**The Team:**_ You will lead the MI Accessibility Engineering team to ensure the quality of our deliverable meets and exceeds the expectations of all stakeholders and evangelize the established quality standards and processes. Your challenge will be reducing the “the time to market” for products without compromising the quality, by leveraging technology and innovation. These products are directly associated with revenue growth and operations enablement. The team works on problems of varying scope where analysis of situations and/or data requires a review of a variety of factors. _**Responsibilities and Impact:**_ * Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive accessibility strategies across digital platforms and applications within MI. * Develop team’s knowledge and skills through coaching, giving clear, actionable feedback and setting expectations and building accountability * Provide feedback to product teams on accessibility standards and negotiate solution timelines * Conduct accessibility audits and assessments using automated testing tools and manual evaluation techniques to ensure WCAG 2.2 A and AA compliance * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX/UI designers, developers, and product managers to integrate accessibility requirements into the software development lifecycle * Provide accessibility training and guidance to development teams, establishing best practices and standards for inclusive design * Partner with teams to ensure adherence to global accessibility regulations including ADA, Section 508, and international accessibility standards * Drive innovation in accessibility solutions by researching emerging technologies and assistive devices to enhance user experiences for individuals with disabilities * Develop processes and interactions to scale accessibility across MI ** _What We’re Looking For:_** **Basic Required Qualifications:** * 8-11 years of overall profe
